I was really pleased to hear from Michelle at Cameo Cupcakes who told me about the wonderful new business she has set up with her husband. The couple, who met in Derby, have recently returned from living in Australia for 14 years to settle and launch their new cupcake business. Cameo Cupcakes deliver all over the Derby area and are also available to purchase online.
Cameo Cupcakes bring an English take on this American cake with good old English ingredients such as rhubarb and custard and includes cupcakes with names such as Blackbird's Nest. The cupcakes are made using free range eggs and where available, fair trade ingredients. They use fresh ingredients for the cakes and toppings and are well equipped to handle large orders.
Cameo Cupcakes are continually developing new flavours and designs, the latest being the “Licking Cow” ice cream inspired cupcake listed under the Children’s cakes category on their website. Not only do they produce gift boxed cupcakes – their minimum order is only 6 cakes with every 12th one free, they are also busy baking for celebrations and events and thrive on a challenge to produce a tailored design.
Since starting the business in October 2009 Cameo Cupcakes has been very busy and is now supplying a number of outlets in the area including the new shop Serendipity on Sadler Gate. In addition, have added brownies and fudge to their product range.

Cup cakes for wedding ok but not as good as pictures we saw. After wedding on Saturday Cameo did not come to collect stand till Wednesday (we went away on Sunday so left at Melbourne View Hotel where we assumed it was safe. It was not safe and had 'disappeared' Cameo kept our £50 deposit. Would not recommend for Wedding cake, collection of stand and poor customer service.

Lots of people have now jumped onto the cupcake bandwagon, but Cameo is still the best. Their cakes always taste fantastic as well as looking fantastic which is after all why we buy them. The best cupcakes out there.

I recently had a "Las Vegas" themed get together for my girlfriends in advance of our pending trip. At very short notice Michelle made some marvellous Las Vegas style cupcakes. They were excellent and tasted absolutely lovely. Customer service from Michelle was second to none..........I will definately be ordering more cakes in the future - great for childrens birthdays as well. Thank you Michelle - my friends were very impressed.
