When you visit Metro you will immediately notice the gorgeous smell of freshly ground coffee, the sight of the beautiful fresh fruit and just how spacious and well designed the interior is. Owned and run by Mark and his team Metro is a real credit to Beeston High Road.

Mark has been running Metro since May 2008, having previously worked in engineering for 28 years, he was made redundant so grasped the opportunity to open his own Coffee Shop and Juice Bar. His ethos is simple; good, seasonal, fresh food to suit everyone.

Freshly prepared, well filled sandwiches, paninis, and salads made in house each day using locally sourced produce complemented by their huge selection of coffee’s, tea’s, smoothies, milkshakes and freshly squeezed juices. Metro also sell a great range of homemade cakes, crisps and snacks including the popular Byron Bay Cookies, of which some are gluten or wheat free making them ideal for those with special dietary requirements.

There is plenty of room to sit inside or out, spacious and well designed affording easy access for pushchairs and disabled customers and the facilities are great too, definitely baby friendly.

Metro is a favourite place for friends to meet or to just chill out, relax read one of the many magazines or daily newspapers available, here the atmosphere suits any mood. Be sure to pick up your loyalty card, get it stamped and you’ll be on your way to a free drink of your choice.

Mark and his team always give you a great welcome so if you don’t already know Metro, call in, I know it will become a regular haunt.

I love going to Metro, the staff are really friendly. The decor and ambiance is really relaxing too, which's great if you want to catch up with a friends, have a business meeting or just curling up with the paper. They also offer dairy-free and wheat-free alternatives, which's a big plus!

Cafe Metro is my favourite cafe in Nottingham. The staff are friendly and it is very baby friendly. The food is great and they make the best hot chocolate I have ever had. Discovered this cafe a year ago and have been loyal ever since.

Metro rating It's a perfect start to the day!

This is a lovely friendly cafe that serves fantastic coffee and an intersting choice of juices or smoothies. I like the fact it is an independent, that they make the sandwiches and soup on the premises and that you are made to feel welcome by the staff.
