A friend of mine lives near Sweetings, so I pass it every time I visit and very often call in for a look around. Sweetings looks fab from the outside and is spread over 4 floors, which can take some time to cover as there’s so much to look at! Each area is set up as a fully furnished room, which makes it great to visualise what the pieces will look like back home.
Sweetings stocks a fabulous range of furniture and accessories for the home...tables, clocks, accessories, beds and so much more. Sweetings is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a new piece of furniture of some inspiration, I’m sure you’ll find something to tempt you! Sweetings is a family run business established in 1972, with over 30 years experience in the furniture retail business, it’s a fabulous independent local business. Love this shop - if I could buy the whole shop, I definitely would :) We bought a coffee table, and got it bespoked as we liked the size of one but the style of another, so Kevin said one could be made up...fabulous!!

We were stuck in traffic when we came accross this wonderful shop situated at the top of Belper. A lot of focus has been on the furniture but this is also an amazing place for gifts and home nick nacks. Wicker, signage, clocks, candles, hooks, hanging decorations, cushions you name it if you love kitsch then this is the place for you. And I must admit everything is well priced and the staff are very friendly and helpful!

Sweetings is a great place to go for great furniture. Each floor has rooms of great furniture and accessories
