I absolutely love Nina Carolyn's jewellery and immediately knew it was perfect for fabulousplaces.co.uk. The pieces are like no other I've seen and I already have my eye on several pieces!
Nina began her jewellery and silversmithing at The Pratt Fine Arts Center whilst living in Seattle, USA. Since returning to Derbyshire in 2008, she has continued to develop her range of sterling silver and resin jewellery. The combination of colour, the strong lines and textures of silver provide the inspiration for her designs. By their very nature, each piece is unique and handmade with the silver finished to a satin brushed effect. The resin has limitless variations, both as block colours and as tonal variations. It is pigmented and poured by hand as one of the final production stages and is also given a matt finish to compliment the silver. Some pieces are softly oxidised to accentuate the beautiful textures of the silver.
