The Farm Shop Restaurant is a great place to head to after a walk in Derbyshire. All the food cooked in the restaurant is sold in the Farm Shop.
I recommend the sausage & mash potatoes. The sausages are devine.

One of the best views in Derbyshire

I could go on about the view for ages - for years I've loved the view at the back of the farm shop for its dreamy timelessness - you look down over the fields at Edensor, often through a mist or hazy sun - and then someone had the inspired idea to develop a proper restaurant with panoramic windows so you can sit and stare at the view whilst sipping a coffee or eating. Oh, and the food and interior setting are fabulous too - just as you'd expect from Chatsworth!
A warm welcome

I had a visit there this week with my son as it was half term holidays.
It was fairly busy but the staff were very welcoming and polite.
It's a great place to "warm up" after a walk in the beautiful surroundings with the dog.
I will return again before Christmas to blow the cob webs away!
What a view

Great bacon sandwich. The tomato ketchup was just right. Lovely coffee. Great view, so try to bag a window table. Its worth making the trip for the view alone. We saw pheasants running around in the field when we were there - very comical.
great sausage & mash

I have to disagree with the review above, I really like the Chatsworth Farm Shop Restaurant. It can get busy and especially during summer, but that's to be expected. It's a great place to call into for food. I do think they should have proper coffee, not machine made, but I don't think it's the end of the world...I've tasted worse real espresso based drinks made by hand. Definitely make a visit and decide for yourself. If you do....try the sausage and mash, yum.
Image good - short on delivery

This review is not based on a single visit , but an accumulation of disappointing visit's to the Farm Shop restaurant ,
Which does no justice to the Chatsworth estater or the peak district as a whole .
Service standards are poor at best , particularly when busy .food is only satisfactory , whilst Drinks are quite poor by comparison to several eateries in Derbyshire. (see Bottle Kiln )
Chatsworth should lead the way .
I am sure i am not on my own , during our visit on Sunday morning the 14th of September , at least 3 other tables had cause to complain .
whoever is in charge should take a field trip and look at the competition , stop relying on your image ,we need great places to eat to keep those tourist coming
good food good service no rip off here

It doesnt matter what time of day you callin at Chatsworth Farm Shop Restaurant the food served is always first class.Bacon sandwich Quiche salad or best value of all in Derbyshire are their scones with jam and cream and tea !!!! Perhaps its the view that I find relaxing but the fact that the staff are happy and you are welcomed into a very pleasant environment.I have never been let down by service or quality of food
